i knit, but only the basic stitches, i bead, but simple stuff, and so on and so forth

Okay, hereapos;s how the game is played: Movie Title Mash-Up is something Phranque I started while building Crows Nest back in apos;06. You can only use movie titles to confab into a new movie, the more diametrically opposed the two movies are in theme the better. You get extra points for multiple movies mashed into one, but the new movie creation needs to make grammatical sense for best point value. My interview at the Brookline school went well� unfourtunately� I did not hear back from them so I� am assuming the positon was filled already. Other school districts Iapos;ve applied to are� Mont Vernon, Amherst (position has been filled)� Bedford and Nashua. Yesterday� I� observed my cousin� Krystaapos;s class room and judging from the experience I had there� I� think I will very much enjoy bein a parprofessional
2. Apply at the� Boys anfd Girls Club in Milford for an afer school counselor postion
Status:� Have not heard back from them yet. Must call in the next couple days to see if the positions there have been filled
3. Fill out applications for other various locations
Status: I�have yet to fill out applications for the� Milford� Library, Dollar �Tree and Toadstool Bookshop
4.� Get my�� foot in the door doing work for a local newpaper.
Stauts:� I�emailed the new editor of the� Milford Cabinet to see if they were� hiring. Unfourtunatley they are not hiring full time positions but he offered me a freelance job which I have to set up a meeting with him� in the next couple weeks to discuss with him furthur.� i� I get this job� I will probably� be covering local theatre productions and/or Souhegan sports teams
5. Get my� foot in the door at a local community theatre doing publicity work so that� way I� can beef up my resume for when� I move to Portsmouth within the next year
Status:� This goal has a� a two part update. First off� I�emailed the person� who is the director of my townapos;s PTA�production of Peter� Pan which is in April.� I�will be doing props and publicity work for them starting in January.� Secondly� I contacted the people at the� Peacock Players to see if� I couild� do publicity work for them and they got back to me saying they wanted to discuss things with me furthur so� I am wicked excited for that. Things will come full circle for me if� I get a job with them because I� did� two summers of American Stage Festival Theate Camp when�� I�was in high school and have� been a fan of� Peacock Players shows for many years. SO�YAY


and�� I am also quite nervous about my test on my danbury mint material at work tomorrow. I hope� I pass it. I am anxious to get back on the phones.

Iapos;ve been training for about 2 years now in the Yoshokai style (an offshoot of Yoshinkai). Last night I tested for 6th Kyu.

Some background: I train in the same city as the main dojo of Yoshokai. Iapos;d train at the main dojo, but itapos;s prohibitively expensive at this point in my life. Anyway, I recently switched from one dojo to another (again, purely due to financial reasons--Iapos;m a broke-ass grad student). My new dojo doesnapos;t have its own testing (although my old one did); all testing occurs at the main dojo, where the founder (Kushida-sensei--a former student of Gozo Shioda-sensei) proctors the exams. At my old dojo, I knew everyone, and my Sensei was proctoring. The dojo was rather small, too.

Talk about intense I was so nervous that I was making my partner nervous. When I noticed my back leg was shaking, I took a deep breath and kept going. I have no clue how my form was, or even if I did the correct techniques. It went by so fast. Kushida-sensei is of course very formal and stern during the test, but the best part is when you finish. He looks you in the eye, gives you a big smile, and starts clapping. That was amazing.

Then the Shidobu (blackbelts) had a demonstration of hand techniques (basic and related advanced techniques) and buki techniques (primarily jo, but also bokken and tanto). It was amazing I had no idea humans could move so fast without someone losing an eye. Watching the shidobu as well as the upper level (Kyu) techniques gave me so much to look forward to. I canapos;t wait to keep training

Iapos;m NOT�feeling better. I wrote that last post prior to my big fat dumb move- I�cooked the tandoori chicken that Iapos;d started marinating on Saturday night and like a damn fool, ate it with the yummy red (read TOMATO) sauce and rice. It was delicious. Started feeling icky a couple hours later. I�told my supervisor what Iapos;d done and she said apos;NO�You must stick to the BRAT�diet with gatorade for a couple days after you feel good and absolutely NO�protein or fatapos; Well, now I�knew. Rob stayed home yet another day and I�drudged through seeing three patients. I was feeling sorta okay, so I�made some boiled potatoes (rice is boring, you know?). Well, an hour later and Iapos;ve thrown up 3 or 4 times and feel worse than I did 24 hours ago. Awesome.
